CALIFA (The Canadian Libyan Friendship Association), a non-profit organization that aims at building bridges and harmonious relations between Canada and Libya through many avenues and that includes through people, culture, politicians, intellectuals, debate and dialogue through international meetings and symposiums. One of CALIFA's objectives is to built networks among other organizations and to network events and activities that will facilitate for common grounds, interests and objectives and for people to meet and engage in friendly debates. Some of the many events and projects that CALIFA facilitates include:
- Networking Candian and Libyan universities for exchange programs on student and professorial levels.
- Arrange and coordinate visits between institutions of joint econimic, social, scientific and national/civil interests.
- Encouraging businesses and proffesional ethics.
- Endorsing the principles of good government and citizinship.
- Supporting and taking on social and welfare activities.
- Promoting peace and prosperity between both countries and the rest of the world.
CALIFA is the gateway to bringing the CAnadians and Libyans closer for better understanding of cultures, people and to promote mutual interests. |
